Lupin the Third, this anime series is one of the most respected in Japan and the world. Created by the talented Monkey Punch over 30 years ago, this guy broke many rules back in the day with having nudity, sexual innuendo, and some questionable violence in an animated series but he pulled it off wonderfully. Lupin is still hot as ever and has grown a huge fan base here in the U.S. as well. I saw the very first "red coat" (2nd series) episode when it aired on CN and I was instantly hooked. Lupin is cool, suave, doesn't take lives, a master thief, but he has one serious flaw; beautiful women (hmmm... sounds an awful lot like me ^_^). Fujiko Mine is the bouncy and very sexy gal who always keeps Lupin on and sometimes off his toes if he's lucky enough. Daisuke Jigen is Lupin's most trusted partner in crime and an expert marksmen. Goemon Ishikawa is the descendant of the master thief of the same name (the real life Goemon was an Iga Ninja who often dressed as a samurai
to hide his identity for leaving the Iga clan and he stole from the rich to uhhh... keep for himself)and is an expert of the Iai of cutting down one's opponent and sheathing the katana in one stroke. Inspector Zenigata is the descendant of the real life Heiji Zenigata, the very famous Edo period detective. He's a total goof and is way too obsessed with capturing Lupin (He's probably secretly in love with Lupin). This series has it all for me. It is truly a work of art and this section definitely needs more cels. :)
